ALACRITAS INNOVATIONS PRODUCTS

ALACRITAS INNOVATIONS designs its equipment in the United Kingdom with a clear focus: precision-shooting accessories that deliver measurable gains in stability, repeatability and shooter comfort behind the rifle. The brand grows out of shooters who actually spend time on the ground – training, competing and spotting – and who turned their own requirements into products such as the Fortis rear rests, recoil-management devices and purpose-built tripods. The ethos is explicit: function first, looks second, with controlled manufacturing and a product line centred on prone shooting and serious mid- to long-range work.

ALACRITAS stands out through a combination of three factors:
– a problem-driven approach: every product starts from a concrete issue (rear stability, recoil control, prone ergonomics) and is dimensioned to solve it, rather than being a rebranded generic accessory;
sound mechanical design: linear kinematics on the Fortis rear rests, fine but repeatable micro-adjustments, robust interfaces to the stock or tripod, all built to handle real-world round counts and field abuse;
– a focus on modern precision disciplines: PRS/NRL-type shooting, long-range rifles, prone work with high-mounted optics and constrained body positions.
Choosing ALACRITAS means opting for accessories that help the rifle track straight, keep the position consistent shot after shot and make impacts easier to read, instead of just “something to rest the buttstock on.”

THE fortis bag rider

The Fortis Bag Rider is designed as the optimal interface between the rifle stock and Fortis rear rests (Micro Adjustable and Ultralite), mounting directly to a Picatinny rail. With a 25 mm diameter, roughly 90 mm overall length and a 40 mm Picatinny clamp section, it provides a low-friction acetal cylinder that runs cleanly in the bags of the Fortis cradle/bag versions. The cylindrical shape creates three stable contact points (each ear plus the base), promoting smooth fore–aft travel in the rest with no binding or bag damage.

The Picatinny interface can also act as a repeatable stop inside Fortis rear rests, so the rifle sits in exactly the same position shot after shot, stabilising scope height, recoil path and shoulder feel. The Fortis Bag Rider is especially valuable for prone precision work, F-Class, Benchrest, serious zeroing and load development, and for shooters running several rifles off the same rear rest: instead of chasing bag shapes and stock widths, you standardise the interface with one rider per rifle and let the Fortis do the tracking. The end result is straighter recoil, less lateral drift and more reliable impact feedback at the distances where every small input error shows up on target.
