Cleaning Degreaser is the first step in the WELLGUN maintenance chain: a pressurised cleaner–degreaser designed to remove oils, grease and loose fouling immediately after shooting, before any deeper cleaning agents such as Cleaning Foam or Inside Restorer.
In practice:
When to use it
Use Cleaning Degreaser right after a shooting session or at the very beginning of a full maintenance cycle, once the firearm is checked clear. Its job is to flush away old lubricants, surface dirt and powder residue so that the following products can work on a clean, neutral surface.Where to use it
On all accessible fouled areas:
– bore and chamber (spraying from the chamber towards the muzzle and catching the run-off),
– bolt, bolt carrier, locking parts and exposed mechanisms,
– gas system parts and any internal areas you can reach.
It is explicitly described as safe for all gun surfaces, leaving no marks on metal, wood or plastic and drying completely. How to apply
Aim the nozzle at the area you want to clean and spray directly onto the fouled surfaces.
Let the pressurised jet flush away oils, grease and loose deposits (powder fouling, soot, particles).
Wipe off the run-off and dissolved dirt with patches or a cloth.
Allow the product to evaporate completely; it is formulated to leave the surface totally dry, with no residual film.
Follow up with WellGun Cleaning Foam and, later in the sequence, Inside Restorer and Oil & Grease.
Expected effect
The result is a firearm that is quickly cleaned and fully degreased at the surface level, with components properly prepared for dedicated cleaners (bore foam, internal cleaner) without interference from old oils or greasy deposits. Cleaning Degreaser is effectively the pressurised pre-cleaning stage: fast, dry and fully compatible with all subsequent WELLGUN steps.
